1. Agreement to terms

By accessing this website or engaging Valnexis for any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this site or our services.

This website and our services are intended to support reporters and outlets working on non-criminal, document-based journalism. You agree to use this site and our services only for lawful purposes and not to submit content that is fraudulent, defamatory, or intended to misuse our checking and advisory work.

3. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, and layout, is the property of Valnexis unless otherwise stated. Checking sheets, reference notes, and other deliverables provided as part of an engagement remain licensed for the client's use in their own reporting; they are not to be resold or redistributed as a separate product.

4. User obligations

Clients engaging our services agree to provide accurate source materials and to disclose relevant context needed for an accurate review. Valnexis cannot verify claims against documents it has not been given access to.

5. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Our services provide editorial and advisory input only. They do not constitute legal advice, and engaging Valnexis does not create a lawyer-client relationship of any kind. Final editorial decisions and publication choices remain entirely the client's responsibility. To the fullest extent permitted by Indonesian law, Valnexis is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or reliance on our advisory input.

6. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute arising from these terms or from services provided by Valnexis shall fall under the jurisdiction of the District Court (Pengadilan Negeri) of Surabaya, without prejudice to any right to pursue resolution through Indonesia's National Board for Dispute Resolution (BANI) where the parties agree to arbitration.
